July quiet pattern continues

If you are looking for something exciting or dynamic in the forecast you might not find it. The Central Coast is locked into a pretty typical local pattern of coastal night and morning low clouds with afternoon clearing (partial at beaches).

I expect that to continue for much of the work week.

I do think temperatures will warm up Friday thru the weekend for most as a ridge of high pressure should squish the marine influence a bit during that time frame.

That ridge looks to back in from the Desert Southwest which will actually crank up the coastal winds a bit. Those stronger NW winds will clear out the skies over the weekend and combine that with beach temps in the 70s, it is looking like a good weekend for beaches.

Inland temps look to be near 100 as early as Thursday but more likely Friday thru the weekend perhaps backing off a bit early next week.
