The Delta High School Holiday Store is open and providing free Christmas gifts and necessities for needy students and their families. The store is across the street from the Orcutt Campus at the Element Church.
It will serve about 375 students with thousands of donated items including clothes, games, toiletries, blankets, candles and sports equipment. The store was started by the Delta Hope Club which aims to encourage students to be givers themselves. Thousands of donated new or gently used items are included in the sale for the benefit of the needy. The store will stay open through Friday.
"I'm very excited I mean this took a lot of planning and we got it down. It's very exciting to see everybody be able to give this holiday season." said Nirvana Alvarez the Hope Club leader.
