There have been more confirmed measles cases in the United States.

According to new numbers released Monday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are now 101 confirmed cases in 10 states so far this year.

Last month, a public health emergency was declared in Washington state where there are 55 confirmed cases of the highly contagious viral disease.

The CDC says the majority of the patients were not vaccinated.

There have been no reported cases in San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara counties this year.
