Firefighters are making significant progress on Cave Fire, which broke out Monday off Highway 154 in the hills above Santa Barbara.
As of Sunday morning, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported the fire has reached 90 percent containment and had burned 3,126 acres.
The fire department says there are currently 54 firefighters working to reach full containment, which they expect to reach on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Caltrans says Highway 154 is expected to reopen on Monday if the weather permits.
