Exercise isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to Thanksgiving, but a local fitness company made it easy for people to get their workout in before indulging in holiday delicacies.
Vitality Fitness Delivered, founded by Victoria Hartt on the Central Coast, offered virtual classes including “Burn off the Bird” and “Shake Your Tailfeather Zumba” for free on Thanksgiving Day. It’s the fifth year they have given free courses on the holiday.
Hartt says exercise, especially on a day where people tend to treat themselves a bit more than normal, helps you feel better.
“We’ve been doing it because we know a lot of people don’t always feel the greatest after they have stuffed themselves. If you get a little exercise in on Thanksgiving Day, it can make you feel a little better about your day,” said Hartt. “It can put you in a better mood, it gets the blood flowing, and it can make you feel a little less guilty about eating that extra piece of pie at the end of the night.”
People from Colorado, Georgia, New York, and even Florida, signed on to workout with the trainers. For more information on Vitality Fitness Delivered, click here.
