Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are some of the events happening across the Central Coast:

SATURDAY, MAY 18

Monster Skate Competition
9 a.m.-noon
SLO Skate Park, 1050 Oak St., San Luis Obispo
It’s the final round in the Central Coast Monster Skate Park Series. Registration begins at 9 a.m. for all age divisions. The competition starts at 10. Riders must wear a helmet and safety gear.

Mermaid & Pirate Parade
10-11 a.m.
Morro Rock parking lot, Morro Bay
Kids are encouraged to dress up as mermaids, pirates and sea creatures for a parade from Morro Rock to Tognazzini’s Dockside Too. All children participating will receive a free lunch.

Z-Day California
10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sunken Gardens, 6500 Palma Ave., Atascadero
Check out souped-up Datsun/Nissan Z cars of all generations from the early 240s and 260s to the Z31 Shiro and Z370s. There will be show models and trophies awarded, plus food, music, raffles, merchandise vendors, a beer garden, and a special appearance by Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg.

Lakefest
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Atascadero Lake Park, 9305 Pismo Ave., Atascadero
This 4th annual event includes cardboard and duct tape boat races, standup paddle board races, live music, children’s activities, arts and crafts, food vendors, and a beer and wine garden.

Central Coast Cornhole Championship
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Minami Community Center, 600 W. Enos Dr., Santa Maria
It’s the largest cornhole competition on the Central Coast with $4,000 in cash prizes available. Beer, food and other beverages will be available for purchase.

SUNDAY, MAY 19

SLO Record Swap
10 a.m.-2 p.m.
SLO Guild Hall, 2880 Broad St., San Luis Obispo
Browse hundreds of vinyl records for sale and check out vintage gear like turntables and receivers. There will also be food trucks and a family-friendly beer garden with guest DJs spinning records all afternoon.
