Drop off personal hygiene items at SLO County libraries to benefit people in need

San Luis Obispo County Public Libraries will be hosting a “Dignity Drive” for people in need starting next week.

Donations of personal hygiene items will be collected at the different library branches from April 7-13. The Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County will then distribute those items to men, women and children experiencing homelessness and unstable living conditions throughout the county.

Needed items include

  • Body lotion
  • Icy Hot for pain
  • Deodorant
  • Diapers, Pull-Ups, and wipes
  • Laundry soap
  • Oral hygiene
  • Feminine hygiene
  • Disposable razors
  • First Aid supplies
  • Underwear

Both full-sized and travel-sized items will be accepted. They must be unopened.
