Crews are making quick work of installation on new playground equipment at Robert Bruce School in Santa Maria.

The Santa Maria-Bonita School District says one of the playgrounds will be the district’s first all-inclusive playground, which will include ramps to allow all children to participate in recess.

The equipment was partially funded by a $150,000 grant obtained by Lisa Johns, who teaches severely handicapped students at Robert Bruce, according to the district.

The district is paying the other $138,740 for the new equipment.

Crews have been taking advantage of the dry weather to complete installation.

Work is expected to be finished this week and children will get to start enjoying the new equipment next week.
