Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are some of the events happening around the Central Coast:

SATURDAY, MARCH 9

Art in Motion
9 a.m.
Reservoir Canyon Rd., San Luis Obispo
A local artist and a health expert will lead this hike through Reservoir Canyon. Hikers will learn about the local floral and fauna, and stops along the way will include art lessons on painting, sketching and watercolors. Participants should bring their own art supplies.

Join instructor Lindsay for an active yoga flow overlooking the Pacific Ocean. (rain permitting)

Fire Safe Landscaping
1-2 p.m.
San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden, 3450 Dairy Creek Rd., San Luis Obispo
Learn about wildfires in California, creating defensible space around your home, and construction and patio materials that can help slow the spread of a fire from CAL FIRE’s Ted Mathiesen. The presentation will be followed by a docent-led tour of the Fire Safe Demonstration Garden.

Chris Perondi brings his troupe of incredibly well-trained rescue dogs to the stage to show off their amazing tricks, high jumps, stunts, comedy, and dancing skills.

La Patronal de Peru community concert

Enjoy live a performance by Peruvian brass band La Patronal. This unique band celebrates the tradition of town fairs common in rural villages across Latin America.

Cayucos Sea Glass Festival
Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cayucos Vets Hall, 10 Cayucos Dr.
Check out the outdoor marketplace with vendors and artists from around the world showcasing their unique sea glass collections and creations. Local bands will perform live and there will be food, beer and wine for sale. Plus, check out the “Mermaids in March” – handcrafted mermaids on display at Cayucos businesses.
