Ice Cream for Breakfast Day
9 a.m.-10 p.m.
Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab, 860 Higuera St., San Luis Obispo
Doc Burnstein’s will open early on Saturday to serve its limited Maple Bacon Ice Cream and other flavors. Patrons are encouraged to wear their pjs.

Western Monarch Day
10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove, 400 Dolliver St., Pismo Beach
Celebrate the monarch butterfly with children’s games, face painting, storytime, life-cycle bracelets, poster art, a short parade at 12:30, and expert talks at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Pismo Beach Visitors’ Bureau will also offer cake.

Beatles tribute band Hard Day’s Night takes concert-goers back to the 1960s, covering the legendary group’s biggest hits.

SLO Symphony Concert III: Spanish Guitar

Harold Miossi Hall, Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo
Grammy-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux joins the San Luis Obispo Symphony to perform the works of Turina, Rodrigo, Sierra, and Rimsky-Korsakov.

Windy Cove Mud and Tide Pools Walk
3 p.m.
Museum of Natural History, 20 State Park Rd., Morro Bay
Meet at the “Nature Walk” sign in front of the museum and take a guided walk to Windy Cove to learn about the plants and organisms that inhabit the area. This family-friendly walk takes 1-2 hours.
