SunBuggie Fun Rentals in Oceano presented checks to a couple of non-profit organizations on Monday.
The Christopher Meadows Memorial Education Fund was one of the recipients.
Meadows was an emergency medical technician who died while responding to a medical call at the Oceano Dunes when the ATV he was riding overturned.
The memorial fund awards annual scholarships to those going to school to become paramedics and EMTs.
“Society forgets the fallen angels so quickly and here he made the ultimate sacrifice trying to help others and somebody needs to keep awareness for him,” said Randy Jordan, president of SunBuggie Fun Rentals.
Jordan says the business donates to several dozen charities throughout the year.
The Friends of the Oceano Dunes also received a check on Monday.
