The American Legion Riders Post 211 will host the annual Toys for Tots motorcycle run this Sunday, Dec. 9.

The event is open to anyone with a motorcycle, scooter or bicycle.

Participants will make four stops during the ride, picking up a raffle ticket at each stop. Raffle prizes, donated by local businesses, will be awarded at the end of the ride.

The cost to participate is $10 per bike and $5 for a second rider. Each rider is also asked to donate an unwrapped toy.

“Christmas is a special time for kids and parents. To help the parents make it very exciting for the child is really important to us,” said Teddy Jackson, President of the American Legion Riders Post 211.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The post is located at 636 North H Street in Lompoc. Click here for more information.

The American Legion Riders are taking over the annual motorcycle run after the Whistle Stop Bar and Grill, which used to host the run, closed its doors.
