Runners are welcomed to kick start Thanksgiving week in a healthy way at the 22nd annual Turkey Trot Fun Run Saturday.
The 5k run starts at 9 a.m. at Jim May Park in Santa Maria. Anyone over the age of 14 can participate in the 5k run.
The one-mile fun run starts at 9:45 a.m. at the Santa Maria Rive Multipurpose Trail and is opened to kids between the ages of 6-year-old and 13-years-old.
Registration costs $30. Awards will be given to first and second places finishers in 12 different age categories after the runs.
There will also be two more Turkey Trot runs on Sunday.
One of them is in Lompoc at 8 a.m. at River Park. Click here to register.
