The Vandenberg Haunted Asylum is back in action.

The fright has been giving people across the Central Coast a good scare for five years now and is back scarier than ever.

Starting Friday, Oct. 12 until Halloween, people brave enough to take a look inside the asylum can tour 18 different rooms from 8 p.m. until midnight.

It’s located at the abandoned high school building on Mountain View Boulevard.

Volunteers say there’s fun for the whole family. But make no mistake, this haunted house is out to scare you.

“It’s not just a haunted house, it’s an event. You’re getting everything,” said Antonio Caraballo, Haunted Asylum lead. “When you walk into the first room you’re gonna feel the scare, not gonna just see a scare. You know what, when you go in there, you’re gonna get the chills.”

Admission is $10.

All of the proceeds benefit the Peacekeepers Association and the programs it supports.
