Cal Poly edges Long Beach State 5-4 to complete Big West series sweep

Two days after throwing four innings in the opener, Michael Clark pitched 6 1/3 innings in relief for his fourth win – second of the series — and Elijah Greene drove in the winning run in the final game of a series for the second straight weekend as Cal Poly completed a sweep of its three-game set at Long Beach State with a 5-4 victory Saturday afternoon at Blair Field.

Cal Poly Softball falls in series finale at CSUN, 5-3

Freshman left fielder Lily Amos provided the Cal Poly softball program a brief lead Saturday afternoon with a two-run double in the third inning, but CSUN shortstop Jessica Alexander’s two-run homer helped account for the difference at Matador Diamond as the Mustangs fell in the series finale, 5-3.
