LOS ANGELES (AP) — A 61-year-old retired Los Angeles police officer has been sentenced to probation and ordered to register as a sex offender after pleading no contest to one count of possessing child pornography.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office says Clark Warren Baker of Los Angeles was sentenced Thursday to five years probation. He also was ordered to attend sex offender counseling sessions.

Baker entered his plea May 13.

Prosecutors say images of child pornography were found on an external hard drive during a Nov. 28 search of Baker’s home.

The 20-year LAPD veteran retired in 2000.
