A few showers to start Tuesday but otherwise a milder week ahead

A weak frontal system will drag across the area later tonight into early Tuesday bringing clouds and some scattered showers.

Some folks will get measurable rain but even where that happens we are only talking about a few hundredths of an inch. The larger story Tuesday will be cooler temps in the 60s and breezy conditions in the afternoon with the balance of the day seeing mostly to partly cloudy skies.

Some warming will develop for the latter half of the week along with gusty northerly winds in some areas like the Santa Barbara Southcoast where several days of Sundowner winds are likely, with possible advisory strength winds Wednesday.

Late in the week I think we'll see some ridging in the upper atmosphere for more surface high pressure and a weakening of onshore winds, this will result in warmer temps to close the work-week.

Another trough and front later Sunday into Monday could bring more showers to the area early next week, and even if no rain comes from that front it should at least keep temps in check.
