A longtime Santa Maria Christmas tree lot is saying goodbye after this year.
The Christmas Tree Corner is in its final season.
Owner George Enriquez says he has sold trees at the same spot for the last 35 years, but adds it’s time for him to slow down “and enjoy his golden years.”
"This is my love is Christmas trees, meeting people, helping people out looking for that right tree and I’m gonna miss that,” Enriquez told KSBY News.
Customer Bertha Ruiz says she is in search of the perfect tree every year and she will miss Enriquez’s help.
"It's gonna be crazy cause he’s the only one can probably put up with me cause I have to have the perfect tree and he always finds it. He don’t stop until he finds it, so that is going to be very hard for me to go to another place because they're not going to listen to me," she said.
Christmas Tree Corner is located at 525 S. Broadway.
