The San Luis Obispo Swim Center is once again hosting a Family Water Safety Day.
The Saturday, July 13 event is designed to build a safer community by providing resources on how to be safe around an aquatic environment. Information booths will give advice on pool safety, emphasize the importance of personal flotation devices and give tips on how to help someone who is struggling in the water.
Anyone that attends a one-hour swim program is invited to stay afterward for the free two-hour family fun swim.
The all-ages program is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the SLO Swim Center by Sinsheimer Park.
