The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Community Resource Deputies for the Chumash Reservation and City of Solvang released their rotating Coffee with a Cop event schedule for 2019 in the Santa Ynez Valley.

The sheriff’s office said the goal of these events is to give community members an opportunity to get to know the deputies that patrol their area and talk about their concerns in the community.

“Coffee with a Cop is a great opportunity for us to reach out, listen and engage the community in conversation regarding issues that are affecting them individually, and the Valley as a whole,” Senior Deputy Charlie Uhrig said. “It’s also a good way for the general public to get to know the local deputies and to develop relationships with them.”

The events will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. Four different coffee shops in the Santa Ynez Valley will take turns hosting the events.

  • Coffee House by Chomp at 1693 Mission Drive in Solvang on 1/9, 5/8 and 9/11.
  • Pattibakes at 240 E. Highway 246 #109 in Buellton on 2/13, 6/12 and 10/9.
  • Corner House at 2902 San Marcos Avenue in Los Olivos on 3/13, 7/10 and 11/13.
  • Pony Espresso at 3558 Sagunto St. in Santa Ynez on 4/10, 8/14 and 12/11.
