Reindeer to leave Santa Barbara Zoo after New Year’s Day

There’s only one day left to visit reindeer at the Santa Barbara Zoo before they make their way back to the North Pole.

Cookie and Peppermint have been at the zoo since Thanksgiving and have been big hits with visitors.

“As to whether or not these two will return next year, you know that’s really up to the North Pole,” said Dean Noble with the Santa Barbara Zoo.

The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. New Year’s Day.
