Mission Prep High School in San Luis Obispo has a brand new Performing Arts Center.

The first play being performed in the new theatre is called “Orphan Train”.

The new performance center is in the building that use to be the high school gym. It took nearly 14 years and many generous anonymous donations to allow the theatre to come to life.

Drama director Jennifer Blomfield says, “Now we are really in what I call the miniature PAC….we have all the things the performing arts center at Cal Poly has but on a miniature level so it’s wonderful for us.”

“Orphan Train” opens April 5 at 7 p.m. The play runs for the next two weekends. Adult tickets cost $7 and students cost $5.
