Jessica Vo joined the KSBY News team as Sports Director in August of 2016. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position having reported ‘LIVE’ for some of the biggest sporting events in California, including Super Bowl 50, NFL Honors, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the AMGEN Tour of California.
Jessica has had the opportunity to interview many elite athletes and celebrities throughout her career including Peyton Manning, Jim Harbaugh, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo and many more. Her infectious personality led to a unique one-on-one interview with Bill Murray, who requested Jessica be his “umbrella girl” during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Prior to coming to KSBY, Jessica was a sports anchor and reporter at the NBC affiliate, KSBW in Salinas/Monterey. She also served as a sideline reporter for Comcast in the Bay Area.
Jessica grew up in the Bay Area and garnered her love of sports through her sports orientated family and thus follows most Bay Area teams. But she says, she has a soft spot for the Oakland Athletics. She is a UC Santa Cruz graduate with a degree in Community Studies.
When she isn’t working, Jessica can be found enjoying the outdoors. She loves to mountain bike, snowboard, surf, run and even enjoys rolling around in the mud. But don’t let her tomboyish characteristics fool you, Jessica was crowned Miss Santa Cruz in 2012 and competed for the title of Miss California, USA.
