Rain into early Saturday then a lull before big rain potential next week

A storm system is moving thru the area into Saturday morning. .25-1.75″ of rain is possible with this first storm along with gusty south winds. The heaviest rainfall is expected to occur across Santa Barbara counties (including the Thomas Fire burn area) between 11 pm and 3 am. Rain rates could reach .75″ per hour for short periods. No flash flood watch is in place however recent burn areas are being watched carefully should debris flow potential happen. Cold air funnels and waterspouts can’t be ruled out either.
