Firefighters are on scene of a structure fire in Goleta Monday morning.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, the fire was reported just before 5 a.m. on Thornwood Dr. and Technology Dr. in the Goleta Valley area.
Firefighters found a structure and multiple vehicles engulfed in flames.
Bertucelli said the structure appeared to be a semi-trailer or CONEX box that was possibly converted into a residence. Three vehicles next to the structure also caught fire. Firefighters were able to save a boat that was near the burning structure and cars.
Firefighters have since extinguished the fire and are currently searching the structure to determine whether anyone was inside.
Investigators are headed to the scene to look into what caused the fire, according to Bertucelli.
Fire officials say there is no impact to the nearby Santa Barbara Airport.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is released.
