UPDATE (12:01 a.m.) - According to a press release from CHP both occupants suffered major injuries and were transported to Sierra Vista Hospital. Officers are investigating the crash. According to the press release, DUI appears to be a determining factor.

ORIGINAL STORY (9:15 p.m.) - Emergency crews are responding to a vehicle collision off Highway 101 in Templeton.
According to CHP, a vehicle went of the right hand side of the road between Vineyard Dr. and Las Tablas Rd. and is fully engulfed in flames.
The crash was reported at 8:30 p.m.
Southbound lanes of Highway 101 are temporarily closed.
Major injuries are reported, according to officials.
At least two people are involved in the collision and are being transported to area hospitals.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is also on scene.
