A person in a pickup truck had to be extricated from the vehicle after a crash in Arroyo Grande Thursday afternoon.
It happened at about 12:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 at Grand Ave.
According to the Five Cities Fire Authority and the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle hit a tree. Firefighters say it was found on its side in a culvert.
Fire officials say the patient was taken to a local hospital trauma center. The extent of injuries in unknown.
