Firefighters were on scene of a box truck engulfed in flames Monday on Highway 101 near Santa Maria, according to CAL FIRE SLO.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it was first reported at about 11:18 a.m., in the southbound lanes near Highway 166.
As of 11:34 a.m., officers were working to conduct a traffic break near Tefft Street to slow traffic through the area.
Ten minutes later firefighters said the fire on the Aramark truck had been knocked down and the flames did not spread beyond the vehicle.
Crews will remain on scene for an unknown amount of time.
No word on any injuries.
