The Santa Barbara Police Department released more information Sunday about the body found near Hendry’s Beach Saturday afternoon.
According to police, the man they found about a mile away from Hendry’s Beach was the body of a man in his 40’s. Police said he was 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighed approximately 170 pounds.
Public Information Officer Anthony Wagner said with the help of leads, the police department was able to identify the man and his family. He said they confirmed his identity through his fingerprints because he did not have any sort of identification on him.
Wagner said the police department is narrowing down more information to determine exactly what happened, but they can not definitively rule out foul play.
Wagner did not release the name of the man.
He said the Santa Barbara Police Department could have more information about the incident on Monday.
