A college-aged man’s dead body was found near the surf line just east of Camino Del Sur Beach in Isla Vista Saturday morning according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a press release sent by the sheriff’s office, a passerby who was walking on the beach found the body at around 9:30 a.m.
The Isla Vista Foot Patrol is investigating the man’s death. His identity is being withheld until a positive identification is made.
The circumstances of his death are unknown. The press release said preliminary indication shows that the death happened recently and there are no obvious signs of foul play.
